The Bali pendant brings a relaxed, handcrafted feel to a room. Its rounded shade is woven from natural cane in an open lattice pattern, so light filters through the gaps and casts soft, dappled shadows across the ceiling and walls. It hangs from a plain white flex, keeping the visual weight on the woven shade itself.

Rattan and bamboo cane construction

The upper two thirds of the shade use an open, spaced weave that lets light escape freely, while the lower band switches to a tighter, flatter woven finish in a paler natural tone. That contrast in weave gives the shade real depth and a genuinely handmade look, since no two woven panels are ever quite identical. The warm cane tone works well against neutral walls, pale timber floors, linen upholstery and other natural materials.

Does the Bali pendant come with a bulb?
No. It takes a single E27 fitting bulb, and we would recommend an LED bulb of around 6W as an equivalent to an old 60W incandescent bulb.

Can I hang this pendant low over a dining table?
Yes. The flex allows a drop of up to 190cm, so it can be adjusted to sit at table height or higher, depending on your ceiling.

Will the open weave let too much light escape upward?
The open cane weave on the upper section is designed to let light filter through gently, creating a warm, dappled glow rather than a single bright beam, so it works well as ambient rather than task lighting.
