The Atom pendant pairs a plain white opal glass globe with a matt black metal fitting, giving it a look that sits somewhere between mid century and minimalist. The globe measures 40cm across, big enough to act as a genuine focal point over a table or in an open stairwell, while the black detailing at the ceiling rose and drop rod keeps the overall shape looking neat rather than heavy.

The globe is made from opal glass, so light reads as a soft, even glow rather than a single bright point. Steel is used for the ceiling rose, rod and lamp holder cap, finished in matt black. The plain white glass and black metal work well against pale walls, exposed brick, or timber panelling, and pair easily with brass, black or matt finished fittings elsewhere in the room.

Can the Atom pendant be lowered for a room with a low ceiling?
Yes. The drop rod is height adjustable at installation, up to a maximum of around 120cm, so it can be set shorter for lower ceilings.
Does the Atom pendant take a dimmable bulb?
It can be dimmed, but only when it's fitted with a dimmable LED bulb and paired with a compatible dimmer switch. A standard non dimmable bulb won't dim even on a dimmer circuit.
Is the Atom pendant suitable for a bathroom?
No. It's rated IP20, which means it's designed for normal dry indoor rooms rather than bathrooms or other zones exposed to moisture.
What bulb does the Atom pendant need?
It takes a single E27 bulb. A 6W LED is a good equivalent to the old 60W incandescent bulb this fitting was originally designed around. The bulb is not included.
