A Slender Domed Pendant in Frosted Acid Glass
The Ankara pendant has a slim, tapered shade that combines frosted acid etched glass with a clear glass trim at the base, giving a soft, even glow with just a hint of sparkle where the light meets the clear band. The satin silver fitting at the top has a simple conical shape that keeps the whole design streamlined.

This version pairs a satin silver fitting with a shade in acid etched frosted glass, finished with a narrow band of clear glass at the bottom edge. The frosted section diffuses the light while the clear trim lets a little more brightness through at the rim.
How It Works
- Takes 1 x E27 GLS bulb, around 6W LED (60W incandescent equivalent), not included.
- Dimmable when paired with compatible LED bulbs and a suitable dimmer switch.
- Height is adjustable, with a maximum drop of 120cm from the ceiling.
- Shade width is 15cm.
- Wired to Class I, so the fitting needs to be properly earthed as part of installation.

What bulb does the Ankara pendant use?
It takes one E27 GLS bulb. An LED bulb around 6W gives roughly the same light output as an old 60W incandescent GLS bulb. The bulb is not included.
Can the Ankara pendant be dimmed?
Yes, provided you use a dimmable LED bulb with a compatible dimmer switch.
Does the Ankara pendant need an electrician to fit it?
Yes. It's wired to Class I and needs to be earthed as part of installation, so fitting by a registered electrician is recommended.
What does acid glass mean?
Acid glass has been etched to give it a frosted, matte finish, which softens and diffuses the light rather than leaving it fully clear.
