An Antique Brass Picture Light for Highlighting Artwork
The Searchlight Angela is a two light picture light in an antique brass finish, designed to sit above a painting, print, or mirror. An adjustable knuckle joint lets you angle the beam so it falls exactly where you want it, right onto the piece it's lighting.
Materials and Finish
The fitting is made from mild steel and finished in antique brass, giving it a warm, slightly aged look that suits traditional and transitional interiors.
How It Works
Each of the two arms takes an E14 pygmy bulb, not included. Fit dimmable bulbs and the light works with a compatible dimmer switch. The knuckle joint at the centre of the fitting can be adjusted so the beam angles down onto the artwork below rather than spreading light across the wall. This is a Class I fitting, which means it needs an earth connection. We always recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician.
Where It Works Best
This picture light suits a living room, dining room, hallway, or home office, mounted above a painting, print, or mirror to pick it out with focused light rather than relying on general room lighting.

Questions People Ask
What bulbs does the Angela picture light need?
It takes two E14 pygmy bulbs, which are not included. Choose dimmable bulbs if you want to use it with a dimmer switch.
Can I dim this light?
Yes, as long as you fit dimmable E14 pygmy bulbs and use it with a compatible dimmer switch.
Does the Angela need to be installed by an electrician?
Yes. It's a Class I fitting that requires an earth connection, and we always recommend having any hardwired light installed by a qualified electrician.
Can I use this picture light in a bathroom?
No. It's rated IP20, which means it's designed for dry indoor rooms only and isn't suitable for bathrooms or other damp spaces.
Can I angle the light after it's fitted?
Yes. The adjustable knuckle joint lets you tilt the light so the beam falls directly onto the artwork or mirror below it.
