A Larger Statement for Bigger Rooms

The RD15 8 Arms is a fuller, more expansive version of Schwung's branching chandelier, built for rooms with the scale to match it. Eight solid brass arms extend outward from the central body, each ending in a mouth blown glass globe, so the finished piece spreads wide enough to become the dominant feature of a room rather than one detail among many.

Transparent Glass, Fully Exposed Filament

This RD15 is fitted with Schwung's transparent glass, the clearest of the three glass finishes the studio offers alongside opal matte and marble matte. With eight arms carrying eight exposed filaments, the effect is more pronounced than on the smaller versions: a wide spread of small warm light points held inside a visibly engineered brass structure, striking whether the bulbs are lit or not.

Choose Your Finish

The 8 Arms RD15 is available in three brass finishes: Lacquered Burnished Brass, Black Gunmetal, and Polished Nickel. All three are hand finished in Poland, so expect small, natural variations between individual pieces rather than a perfectly uniform surface.

How It Works

Each of the eight arms takes a 1.6W G4 LED bulb, included, warm white at 2700K and dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch. Height adjusts from roughly 114cm to 204cm using the supplied extension tubes, one each of 15cm, 30cm, and 45cm, and a flat cylinder ceiling canopy around 19cm across, and every arm can be angled up to 135 degrees. Fully open, it measures around 200cm across and weighs 13.6kg.

Where It Works Best

The 8 Arms RD15 suits a large dining room above a long table, a double height entrance hall, or an open plan living space where the chandelier hangs centrally and the arms can be seen from multiple angles. It is also a strong choice for a commercial interior, a restaurant or boutique, where the fitting is meant to be part of the character of the room.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Every fitting, including the RD15, is made to order in solid brass and mouth blown glass at the studio's Namyslow workshop. Balancing eight individually angled arms so the finished piece hangs level is a real feat of the workshop's engineering, not just its finishing.
