Quintiesse Valencia 2 Light Wall Light - Urban Bronze

The Valencia 2 Light Wall Light doubles up the collection's signature faceted alabaster shades side by side, giving a wider spread of soft light from a single fitting. It's a good option where one shade alone would look a little lost on the wall, such as above a wide console table or across a broader stretch of hallway.

The Urban Bronze finish

Both arms and the shared back plate are finished in Urban Bronze, a dark, matte toned metal that recedes behind the pale stone shades and lets them do the visual work. It's a versatile finish that reads well against both light and dark paint, and pairs easily with black, bronze or aged metal fittings elsewhere in the space.

How it works

Each of the two arms takes its own 60W E27 bulb, so you'll need two bulbs in total, neither of which is supplied. The fitting is dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable bulbs in both positions; mix in a standard bulb and dimming will be inconsistent or won't work at all. It's a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed mains supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

With two shades set on a fitting that's 38.1cm tall, 9.1cm wide and projects 10.5cm from the wall, this version gives a broader wash of light than the single arm design without adding much extra depth to the wall. It suits living rooms and dining rooms where you want a stronger secondary light source than a single wall light would give, and works well centred above a sideboard or fireplace, or spaced along a wider hallway.

Quintiesse craftsmanship

Quintiesse states that every product goes through prototyping, batch inspection and a quality sign off before release, part of the brand's wider quality processes as a premium lighting brand within the Elstead Lighting Group. The alabaster used for each shade is a natural stone, so expect some variation in veining and tone between the two shades on this fitting, which is part of its character rather than a flaw.
