The Valencia 1 Light Wall Light pairs a sculpted alabaster shade with a bronze toned metal frame, bringing a soft architectural presence to any wall. Cut into a faceted diamond silhouette, the stone catches and diffuses light quietly, giving the fitting a sculptural quality whether it's lit or simply catching daylight.

The Urban Bronze finish

The single mounting arm and back plate are finished in Urban Bronze, a deep, understated metal tone that sits quietly behind the pale stone shade rather than competing with it. It's a finish that reads as contemporary against darker walls and works equally well layered into a more traditional scheme, pairing naturally with aged brass hardware, walnut furniture or black ironmongery elsewhere in the room.

How it works

This wall light takes a single 60W E27 bulb, which is not supplied, so you can choose the warmth and brightness that suits the room. It's dimmable if you fit dimmable bulbs; with a standard, non dimmable bulb, dimming won't work. As a Class I fitting, it needs an earthed mains supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At 38.1cm tall, 9.1cm wide, and projecting 10.5cm from the wall, the Valencia sits close enough to the wall to work either side of a doorway, along a hallway, or flanking a mirror or console table, without the light intruding into the walking space. Its stone shade gives a soft, ambient glow rather than a strong task light, so it suits living rooms and dining rooms where you want gentle background lighting alongside a central pendant or ceiling fitting.
