Quintiesse Sutcliffe 2 Light Wall Lantern - Oil Rubbed Bronze & Copper

This two light version of the Sutcliffe lantern swaps the collection's cooler zinc finish for a warm oil rubbed bronze body and a copper reflector, giving the same early Americana silhouette a noticeably richer, more traditional cast. Clear glass panels keep the two candelabra style bulbs on display, and the taller two light body gives it more visual weight than the single lantern in the range.

Oil rubbed bronze and copper finish

Oil rubbed bronze has a dark, almost blackened base with warmer bronze tones showing through at the edges and high points, and against that the copper reflector adds a glow of warmth when the lantern is lit. It is a finish that tends to suit traditional brick, stone or dark painted exteriors, and it will develop its own gentle character over time outdoors.

How it works

The fitting takes two E14 bulbs (not supplied), so you can match colour temperature to the rest of your exterior lighting. Dimming works if dimmable bulbs are fitted, with standard bulbs it will simply run at one brightness. It is a Class I fitting, which means it needs an earthed supply and installation by a qualified electrician. With an IP44 rating it is designed to handle rain and general exposure on an outside wall.

Where it works best

At 43.1cm high and 22.8cm wide, this larger Sutcliffe lantern works well flanking a substantial front door, lighting a porch, or marking a garage or side entrance where a single bulb would not give enough spread. It weighs 4.6kg, so check the wall fixings you are using are appropriate for that weight before installing.
