Quintiesse Somerset Single Flush Fitting - Opal - Heritage Brass

Where the clear glass Somerset flush fittings let a bulb's glow show through, this version softens it. Opal glass diffuses the light more evenly across the room, and here it's set into a heritage brass frame, giving the fitting a warmer, more traditional character.

Heritage brass and opal glass

Heritage brass has a warm, aged tone rather than a bright polished gold, so it settles well into period properties and traditional schemes without looking too showy. The opal glass diffuser is a soft, milky white that spreads light gently rather than casting a strong glow from one point, and the turned brass knob detailing echoes the collection's vintage inspired styling.

How it works

It takes 1 x E27 LED bulb, not supplied, and will dim only if you fit dimmable LED bulbs. As a Class I fitting it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be wired in by a qualified electrician. There's no adjustable drop as this is a flush ceiling fitting.

Where it works best

At 2.5kg and 31.8cm high, it's a practical choice for kitchens, dining rooms and hallways where you want warm, even light without a fitting that hangs down into the space. The opal glass in particular suits rooms where you want softer, more diffused light than a bare glow.
