Quintiesse Somerset Single Flush Fitting - Opal - Black

A close fitted ceiling light with a softer, more contemporary edge, this Somerset flush fitting pairs opal glass with a black steel frame. It keeps the collection's vintage inspired detailing but reads considerably more graphic against the light.

The black finish is a flat, matte black rather than a glossy lacquer, giving it a slightly industrial edge that suits modern kitchens and hallways. Behind it sits opal glass, which diffuses the light into a soft, even glow rather than letting a bulb show through directly, and the black turned knob detail keeps the vintage character of the wider Somerset range.

How it works

It takes 1 x E27 LED bulb, not supplied. It's dimmable, but only if dimmable LED bulbs are used. This is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. As a flush fitting there's no drop to adjust, it sits directly against the ceiling.

Where it works best

Weighing 2.5kg and standing 31.8cm tall, it's suited to kitchens, dining rooms and hallways, anywhere a pendant would sit too low or you simply prefer a light that doesn't hang down. The black finish also works well as a subtle accent against pale ceilings.
