Rene's wall light distils the collection down to a single disc of pressed glass set against a compact brass backplate, a quieter way to bring the same layered glow to a room without a full chandelier overhead. It's a fitting designed to work in pairs or alone, adding light exactly where it's needed.
A distressed brass finish
Like the rest of the Rene collection, this wall light is finished in a distressed brass that has visible depth and variation rather than a single even tone. It suits interiors where metalwork already has some age or character to it, sitting well against panelled walls, mirror, or richly papered rooms.
How it works
A single E14 bulb of up to 40W supplies the light (not supplied). It's dimmable if a dimmable bulb is fitted, otherwise it will run at a fixed brightness even on a dimmer circuit. This is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. The backplate projects 10.2cm from the wall, so it sits fairly close and doesn't intrude far into the room.
Where it works best
At 30cm high and 25.4cm wide, this is a light for filling in around larger fittings rather than lighting a whole room on its own. A pair either side of a dining room mirror or sideboard, flanking a living room fireplace, or either side of a bed as a bedroom reading light are all natural fits for its size and single light output.
