Quintiesse Maddox 1 Light Small Outdoor Pendant - Black

This is the smaller sibling in the Maddox outdoor pendant range, built around the same open weave orb and geometric silhouette but scaled down for tighter spaces. An etched opal glass globe sits inside the woven shell, giving a soft, diffused glow that suits a more compact porch or entrance rather than a large covered terrace.

A study in black

The frame is black finished aluminium, wrapped in black weather resistant nylon rope in the same open geometric weave as the rest of the range. Kept to a single colour, the fitting reads as a clean graphic shape, and works well repeated in twos or threes along a run of porch or veranda.

How it works

Maddox small takes a single 60W E27 bulb, not supplied. Dimming works only if dimmable bulbs are fitted, standard bulbs will not dim. The drop is adjustable between 46cm and 101.9cm, so you can set the hanging height to suit a lower porch roof or entrance canopy. It is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At 37.7cm high and 35.9cm deep, this small Maddox is suited to compact porches, side entrances, and covered spots where a full sized pendant would feel oversized. It also works well as a pair either side of a doorway. Its 46cm to 101.9cm drop range is worth checking against your ceiling or canopy height before ordering. Rated IP44, it is built to handle the damp and temperature changes typical of covered outdoor areas.
