Quintiesse Luca 10 Light Multi Tier Chandelier - Black

The Luca 10 Light Multi Tier Chandelier is a dramatic, layered piece built around a full cluster of ten lights, each tier wrapped in a woven shade that gives the whole fixture real depth and texture rather than a single flat drum. Part of the Lisa McDennon collection for Quintiesse, it has a relaxed, coastal feel with just enough edge to sit happily in a more contemporary interior too.

The black finish

Here the steel frame and every tier of woven shade are finished in black, giving the chandelier a strong, graphic silhouette that reads well against pale walls or a high, light filled stairwell. It is a finish that pairs easily with warm wood tones, brass hardware or a mix of black metal furniture elsewhere in the room.

How it works

The fixture takes ten E14 bulbs of up to 40W each. Bulbs are not supplied, so you will need to choose these separately, and dimming only works if you fit dimmable bulbs. It runs on a Class I circuit, which means it must be wired to an earthed supply and installed by a qualified electrician. The drop is adjustable from 89.1cm to 165.3cm, so it can be set to suit ceilings of varying height.

Where it works best

With a generous 71cm spread and a full ten light cluster, this is a chandelier for a room with some height and space to let it breathe, a double height living room, a formal dining room, or a statement piece above a bed in a larger bedroom. The wide drop adjustment also makes it a strong option for a stairwell, where you can set the tiers to clear the half landing while still filling the space with light.
