Running along a single bar rather than clustering around a point, the Linara 5 Light Linear Chandelier is built for spaces with a horizontal line to fill, a kitchen island, a long dining table, a run of worktop. Five lamps are held in matte black slatted steel with natural brass running through the frame, giving a fitting that reads as sculptural even before it is switched on.
Black and natural brass finish
Matte black steel and natural brass work together here in a way that feels more architectural than decorative, brass picking out the edges of the black slats along the full 101.6cm length. It is a pairing that suits contemporary kitchens and dining rooms particularly well, and sits easily alongside brushed brass taps, dark cabinetry or warm wood worktops.
How it works
Five E27 bulbs are required, not included, and the fitting is dimmable provided dimmable bulbs are fitted, standard bulbs will not respond to a dimmer. The rod allows the drop to be set anywhere between 45.1cm and 136.5cm, giving room to hang it closer to the table or higher above a kitchen island depending on ceiling height.
Where it works best
At 101.6cm wide, this is designed with kitchen islands and dining tables in mind, both listed as suited rooms, and the length means it can light a run of worktop evenly rather than pooling light in one spot. It weighs 19kg, so before it goes up, check that your ceiling has a secure, load rated fixing point capable of taking that weight.
