The Laguna 8 light pendant is the largest fitting in this collection, with enough scale and light output to work as a chandelier as much as a pendant. A wide framework of slender steel arcs carries clusters of clear glass droplets that fall at varying lengths, and once lit, the eight lamps read as a loose constellation of candlelight. The fine hanging wires keep the whole piece feeling light rather than heavy handed, despite its size.
A burnished gold finish
The steel framework is finished in a warm burnished gold that catches the light along its curves without ever looking overly polished. It sits comfortably against darker walls, exposed brick, or the muted tones of a farmhouse kitchen, and pairs equally well with brass or antique fittings already in the room.
How it works
Laguna's eight arms take E14 LED bulbs (not supplied), and the fitting dims smoothly if dimmable bulbs are used, though it will not dim with standard non dimmable ones. The drop is adjustable between 48.2cm and 336.6cm, so the finished height can be set to suit the room once it is hung. It is a Class I fitting, which means it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
Where it works best
At just over a metre wide, this is a fitting built to anchor a large table or an open plan kitchen island, somewhere it has room to spread out rather than being squeezed against walls. The long adjustable drop also makes it a strong option over a stairwell or in a double height hallway, where the extra reach lets it hang well below a high ceiling. It works just as well as a statement piece in a living room or a main bedroom.
