Quintiesse Fairfield Single Large Wall Lantern - Black

Fairfield's larger wall lantern takes the same traditional silhouette as the rest of the range and scales it up for grander entrances. Finished in black aluminium with clear seeded glass panes, it works well as a striking single point of light either side of a doorway or along a boundary wall.

Black finish and seeded glass

Like the rest of the Fairfield range, this large lantern is made from aluminium finished in black, chosen for durability outdoors as much as its look. The clear seeded glass has a gentle, uneven texture that diffuses the bulb's light and adds a traditional lantern quality. At this larger scale, the black finish reads confidently against brick, render or timber cladding, and pairs naturally with black guttering, downpipes or door furniture.

How it works

This lantern takes a single E27 bulb, not supplied, and will only dim if you fit a dimmable bulb, standard bulbs run at fixed brightness. It is designed for fixed wall mounting rather than an adjustable drop, so it is worth planning its exact position on the wall before installation. Only the light fitting is included, the bulb is sold separately.

Where it works best

At 37.1cm tall and with a wider 22.3cm projection, this large lantern suits bigger entrances, wider porches and gateposts where a smaller fitting would look lost. It is a good choice either side of double doors or along a driveway approach. With an IP44 rating it is built to handle everyday outdoor exposure to rain and damp, and at 2.5kg it should be fixed to a sound wall surface.
