Quintiesse Elroy Single Pendant - Polished Nickel

Elroy is a mini pendant with the sort of authentic detailing you don't often find at this scale: cast knobs, a strap wrapped around a clear ribbed optic glass shade, and proportions small enough to hang in pairs or a row without overwhelming a room. It draws on traditional glass pendant styling but wears it in a way that works just as easily in a modern kitchen as a more classic dining room.

The polished nickel finish

Here Elroy is finished in polished nickel, a bright, mirror like metal with a crisp reflective quality that plays well with the fitting's ribbed glass, each groove catching a little more light. It has a more formal, dressed up feel than a matte metal, and pairs naturally with chrome or nickel taps, glass fronted cabinetry, and dining spaces where you want the fitting to feel a little more polished rather than rustic.

How it works

It is fitted for 1 x E27 LED bulb, not supplied, leaving you free to pick the finish and warmth of light that suits the room, Edison style filament bulbs in particular sit well with the exposed ribbed glass. Dimming is supported, but only when dimmable bulbs are fitted, a standard non dimmable LED will not respond to a dimmer switch. The drop adjusts between around 46.6cm and 107.6cm, giving some flexibility on hanging height. As a Class I fitting, Elroy needs an earthed electrical supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At a neat 25cm across, this pendant suits kitchens and dining rooms where a single characterful light is wanted rather than a large statement piece, hung centrally over a small dining table, above a breakfast bar, or grouped in twos or threes along a kitchen island. Because the drop is adjustable, it is worth measuring your ceiling height and desired clearance before ordering, especially if you are hanging it in a room with a lower ceiling or want it to sit at a precise height above a worktop.
