Quintiesse Doral 2 Light Pendant - Matte Black & Vintage Brass

The Doral takes a classic dome pendant shape and gives it real textural interest. A steel dome sits above a trim of woven rattan that wraps the base, softening the metal's lines, while a run of delicate cut outs pierces the steel housing around the stem at the top, catching light and adding a playful, almost whimsical detail to what could otherwise be a straightforward silhouette. It reads as sculptural from across the room and rewards a closer look up close.

Matte black and vintage brass

This version pairs a matte black steel dome with vintage brass fittings, the two finishes kept distinct rather than blended, so the brass reads as a deliberate accent against the black steel. The rattan detailing around the base adds a handmade, tactile texture that takes the edge off the dark metal, and a frosted glass diffuser sits inside to spread the light gently rather than exposing the bulb. It's a combination that suits kitchens and dining spaces already working with black ironmongery, brass hardware or warm timber, adding contrast without dominating the room.

How it works

Each Doral pendant takes 2 x E27 bulbs of up to 60W (bulbs are not supplied). It's dimmable, but only if you fit dimmable bulbs, standard bulbs won't respond to a dimmer switch. The fitting is wired to Class I, so it needs an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. The drop is adjustable from around 53.3cm up to 156.9cm, so it can be set close to the ceiling or lowered well below it. Worth checking this range against your ceiling height and the clearance you want before it's wired in.

Where it works best

With a 41.7cm wide dome, the Doral works well as a single pendant over a kitchen island or breakfast bar, and its generous adjustable drop means it can be hung low over a worktop or set higher where more headroom is needed. It also suits dining tables and open plan kitchen living spaces where the rattan and brass detailing can be appreciated at close range. The same wide drop range makes it a practical choice for rooms with taller ceilings, or stairwells, where a fixed length pendant would fall short.
