Quintiesse Chance Harbor Single Small IP44 Wall Lantern - Weathered Zinc

There's something reassuring about a small lantern glowing steadily either side of a front door, and that's exactly the job this compact wall light is built for. Part of the Chance Harbor collection, it takes its cues from historic New England porches, pairing a simple aluminium frame with clear ribbed glass for a look that feels lived in rather than brand new.

Weathered Zinc finish

This size is finished in Weathered Zinc, a mottled grey patina that gives the aluminium frame a softly aged, hand worked appearance rather than a flat factory sheen. The clear ribbed glass panels catch and scatter light in a gentle, textured way, and the combination sits comfortably against brick, render, timber cladding or painted period frontages.

How it works

The fitting takes a single E27 LED bulb, which is not supplied, so you can choose the warmth and brightness you prefer. It will dim smoothly if you fit dimmable bulbs, though standard LEDs will simply run at full brightness. Wiring is Class I, meaning it needs to be connected to an earthed supply and fitted by a qualified electrician. The lantern is fixed directly to the wall with no adjustable drop, so measure your fixing point before ordering.

Where it works best

At 36.8cm high, 17.8cm wide and projecting 22.1cm, this is the smaller of the two Chance Harbor wall lanterns, and it suits narrower porches, cottage doorways, terraced house fronts or anywhere a slimmer profile is needed either side of a door. Rated IP44, it copes well with rain and splashes on a sheltered exterior wall, and at 2kg it's light enough for a standard exterior wall fixing.
