Quintiesse Chance Harbor Single Large IP44 Wall Lantern - Weathered Zinc

Some entrances call for a bit of presence, and this is the larger of the two Chance Harbor wall lanterns, sized to hold its own on a wider porch, a garage wall or a grander front elevation. It carries the same historic, coastal New England character as the rest of the collection, built around clear ribbed glass and a weathered aluminium frame.

Weathered Zinc finish

Finished in Weathered Zinc, the aluminium frame has a soft, mottled grey patina that reads as genuinely aged rather than painted on, and it pairs naturally with stone, brick, render or dark timber. The larger clear ribbed glass panels on this size let more light spill outward, so the texture of the glass is more visible after dark than on the smaller version in the range.

How it works

It's designed for a single E27 LED bulb, which you'll need to source separately as bulbs aren't included. Fit a dimmable bulb and it will dim; a standard LED will simply run at one brightness. This is a Class I fitting, so it must be wired to an earthed supply by a qualified electrician. It's a fixed wall lantern with no adjustable drop, so it hangs at a set height once installed.

Where it works best

At 55.1cm high, 26.7cm wide and projecting 32.1cm, this is a substantial fitting best suited to wider door surrounds, either side of a garage, or larger period and new build facades where a smaller lantern would look lost. Its IP44 rating means it's built to handle rain and exposure on an outdoor wall. At 4kg it's heavier than the smaller size, so check your wall fixings are solid before mounting, though it doesn't require the specialist load rated fixing needed for the heaviest fittings.
