Quintiesse Castelle Single Medium Wall Lantern - Black

Sharing its scale with the largest fitting in the Castelle family, this medium wall lantern combines a cast aluminium frame with a ribbed, etched glass cylinder for a look that's substantial without being fussy. Etched corner panels add a crisp geometric edge to the design.

Black finish

The black finish gives this medium Castelle a strong, graphic outline that works equally well on modern render or more traditional brick. Amber toned etched glass tempers the light output, so the fitting reads as inviting rather than stark once it's switched on.

How it works

It takes a single E27 LED bulb, not included, letting you choose your own brightness and colour temperature. Fit a dimmable bulb if you want control over the light level on a compatible dimmer, standard bulbs will run at a fixed output. Being a Class I fitting, it needs an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. Its IP44 rating means it's designed to handle rain and damp air on an external wall.

Where it works best

With a height of 38.3cm, this is the larger of the two Castelle sizes, well suited to bigger doorways, double garages, or exterior walls where a small lantern would look out of proportion. At 3.2kg it's still a straightforward wall fixing, but as with any outdoor lantern it's worth confirming the wall can securely hold the fitting before drilling.
