Quintiesse Blacksmith 4 Light Outdoor Chandelier - Old Black

Scale up the Blacksmith's spiralling ironwork to four arms and you get a proper statement chandelier, one built for a porch, portico or covered veranda that can take a fitting with real presence. The four candle style arms curl around a central column in the same soft, orb shaping as the rest of the collection, but with four points of light the effect is much fuller and more architectural.

The old black finish

The old black finish carries through charcoal and dark silver accents that catch as the light moves across the ironwork, giving the surface a smoky, worked in look rather than a flat painted one. Each of the four arms holds a cylindrical opal etched glass shade, which diffuses the light so the chandelier glows rather than glares, even at this larger scale. It suits grander entrances, stone porticos and period façades particularly well.

How it works

Four E14 LED bulbs are needed, sold separately. Fit dimmable bulbs if you want the option to dim, standard bulbs will not dim. The drop adjusts from around 68.2cm to 316.4cm, giving plenty of scope to set the chandelier at the right height for a tall porch or covered entrance. It's rated IP44 for outdoor use.

Where it works best

This is a substantial fitting, 58.1cm high and 50.1cm across, and at 9.5kg it needs a proper fixing point rather than a token screw. Before installation, confirm your ceiling or wall has a secure, load rated fixing point. Once installed, it suits large covered porches, entrance canopies and outdoor dining areas where you want a genuine focal point overhead rather than a single small light.
