Quintiesse Belle 3 Light Semi-Flush Fitting - Olde Bronze

For a semi flush ceiling light that still feels decorative rather than purely functional, the Belle brings together a rounded clear seeded glass vessel and a set of slim metal arms, sitting close to the ceiling in a shape that reads as gently traditional without feeling heavy.

Olde Bronze

Here the frame is finished in Olde Bronze, a warmer, aged tone over the steel construction. Quintiesse describes many of its aged and bronzed finishes as achieved using hand applied patina techniques, which give the metal depth and variation rather than a single flat colour. Against the clear seeded glass, the effect leans towards older, more characterful interiors, and it pairs naturally with dark wood furniture, aged brass hardware and warmer colour palettes.

How it works

The fitting takes 3 x E14 LED bulbs, which are not supplied. It will only dim if dimmable bulbs are fitted; standard bulbs will not respond to a dimmer switch. This is a Class I fitting, so it needs to be connected to an earthed supply, and the installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. There is no adjustable drop as the Belle sits flush against the ceiling.

Where it works best

At 26.6cm high and 43.1cm in depth, and weighing 4.3kg, this is a light enough fitting to go up without extra reinforcement, while still giving a decorative focal point to a room. It suits living rooms, dining rooms and kitchens where a pendant would sit too low, and works well in hallways where headroom is at a premium but a plain flush light would feel too plain.
