Quintiesse Axel 7 Light Semi-Flush Fitting - Black & Heritage Brass

This is the largest fitting in the Axel range: a seven light semi flush design finished in black and heritage brass, spreading 144cm across the ceiling on individually adjustable arms. It gives a wide spread of light without the drop of a pendant, which makes it a strong option for rooms where ceiling height is at a premium but visual impact still matters.

Black and heritage brass finish

The body and arms are finished in black steel, with heritage brass detailing at the fixing points and light holders running along all seven arms. Clear glass shades keep the design feeling open rather than heavy, despite the scale of the fitting. The combination of black and brass gives a more contemporary, graphic look than the all brass version, and suits interiors that already lean towards darker metalwork or industrial detailing.

How it works

Seven E27 LED bulbs are required, and these aren't included, giving you control over brightness and colour temperature. Every arm can be angled independently, so light can be fanned out evenly or focused over specific areas such as a dining table or kitchen island. Dimming works if dimmable bulbs are fitted, but not with standard bulbs. It's a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

Its 144cm width and seven light heads make this version suited to larger dining rooms, open plan kitchens and living spaces, particularly above long tables or kitchen islands where wide, even coverage matters. The flush ceiling fixing also helps in rooms with restricted headroom. This is a heavy fitting at 14kg, so before installation, check that your ceiling has a secure, load rated fixing point rated for that weight.
