Quintiesse Ashbern Single Small IP44 Wall Lantern - Textured Black

The Ashbern Single Small Wall Lantern is a compact box style exterior light finished in Textured Black, sized for porches and entrances where space is tight but a considered finishing touch still matters. Overlapping glass arcs break up the light source and give the lantern character even before it is switched on.

Textured Black finish

The Ashbern's Textured Black finish is applied to an aluminium frame, giving the surface a slightly grained, matt texture rather than a flat gloss. Clear seeded glass panels, etched on the inside, sit within the box shaped frame and soften the light rather than exposing a bare bulb outline. It is a finish that reads well against brick, render or timber cladding, and pairs naturally with black door furniture and other matt black exterior fittings.

How it works

The lantern takes a single E27 LED bulb, not supplied, so you can choose the colour temperature and brightness that suits your entrance. It will dim if fitted with a dimmable bulb, but not otherwise. This is a Class I fitting, meaning it must be connected to an earthed electrical supply and wired in by a qualified electrician. The lantern is supplied ready to wire; no bulb is included.

Where it works best

At 32.3cm high, 16.5cm wide and with a 17.3cm projection, this is the most compact of the three Ashbern wall lantern sizes, making it a natural fit for narrower porches, side doors, boot room entrances or anywhere a larger statement piece would overwhelm the space. Its IP44 rating means it is built to cope with wind driven rain and general damp, so it works equally well on a sheltered porch or a more exposed exterior wall.
