Quintiesse Ascher 2 Light Wall Light - Polished Nickel

The Ascher 2 light wall light brings a faceted solid crystal centre column and a run of sparkling crystal bobeches to a compact wall fitting. It is a piece built around contrast: a slender steel arm carrying a concentrated burst of cut crystal, giving it a transitional character that can read as classic in one room and quite sculptural in another.

Polished Nickel finish

This version is finished in Polished Nickel, a bright, cool toned plating that catches light along the arm and lets the crystal do the talking. The high shine reflects surrounding light rather than absorbing it, so it sits comfortably against pale walls, mirrors and glass, and pairs naturally with chrome or nickel door furniture, taps and picture frames already in the room.

How it works

The fitting takes two E14 bulbs, which are not supplied, so you can choose a warmth and shape to suit the room. It is designed as a fixed wall mount with a 12.7cm projection, keeping it close to the wall rather than reaching out over furniture. Dimming works only if you fit dimmable bulbs, with non dimmable bulbs it will simply switch on and off. It is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At 45cm high and 30.5cm wide, this suits flanking a mirror, fireplace or bed rather than filling a large expanse of wall on its own. Used as a pair either side of a console table or headboard, or in a run along a hallway, it works well in a living room, bedroom, dining room or hallway, adding directional accent light alongside a main ceiling fitting rather than replacing one.
