Quintiesse Aros 12 Light Pendant - Black & Warm Brass

The Aros pendant turns a classic mid century starburst into something more architectural. Twelve slender arms radiate out from a central hub, each cradled by an angular cage frame, so the fitting reads as sculpture as much as light source. Black and warm brass finish

The Aros is built from steel, with the angular outer cage finished in a deep matte black and the inner starburst arms picked out in a warm, lustrous brass. The contrast is the point: the black cage gives the piece its graphic, faceted outline, while the brass arms catch the light and warm up the centre of the fixture. It sits comfortably alongside walnut furniture, brass hardware, black metal window frames and other warm toned metallics, making it a good match for both mid century schemes and more current industrial looks.

How it works

The Aros takes 12 x E14 LED bulbs, which are not supplied, so you'll need to source these separately to suit the look and colour temperature you want. It dims smoothly, but only if dimmable bulbs are fitted; standard non dimmable LEDs will not respond to a dimmer switch. The drop is adjustable between 59.5cm and 135.8cm, so the height can be tailored to the room once it's hung. It's rated Class I, which means it needs to be connected to an earthed electrical supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

At 51cm wide and 51cm deep, the Aros has enough scale to hold its own as a single statement pendant over a dining table or kitchen island, and it suits living rooms, bedrooms and hallways with reasonably generous ceiling heights. The adjustable drop, running from just under 60cm up to almost 136cm, makes it a strong option for stairwells too, where you often need extra length to bring the fitting down to a sensible viewing height over multiple floors. Because it weighs 8.3kg, it's worth checking in advance that your ceiling has a secure, load rated fixing point before installation.
