The smallest of the hanging lanterns in the Alford Place range, this single light chain lantern suits compact porches and cottage style entrances where a full sized pendant would be too much. It keeps the sealed glass roof and cast frame of the collection on a smaller, single lamp scale.
Museum Black finish
Cast in aluminium and finished in Museum Black, its scaled down frame has the same weather resistant matte coating as the rest of the range, so it reads as part of the family even at a fraction of the size of the largest pendant.
How it works
It takes a single E27 bulb, not supplied, and dims only if a dimmable bulb is fitted. The chain allows an adjustable drop of 45.9cm to 201.6cm, so check this against your ceiling height and the clearance you need before ordering. It's a Class I fitting, needing an earthed supply and installation by a qualified electrician, and it's IP44 rated for outdoor use.
Where it works best
Its small footprint, 35.5cm high and 20.3cm deep, makes it a good fit for narrow porches, cottage doorways or a small covered entrance where a single soft light is enough. The adjustable drop is particularly useful on a low porch roof, where you can bring the lantern down closer to head height.
