Dino Fixed: Darklighter Performance, Kept Simple

Dino Fixed takes the same darklighter glare control as the rest of the range and sets it in a fixed, straight down optic, a dependable choice wherever the beam direction is already settled.

• Driver: 0 to 10V dimming, Dali, mains dimming or non dimming.
• Engine: Origin for general use, Origin Natural for the highest colour quality, Origin Warm Dim for a warm glow from 1800K to 3000K, or Origin loPro for shallow voids.
• Lamp temperature: 1800K to 3000K, 2700K, or 3000K.
• Beam: 19° up to 58°.
• IP rating: IP54 or IP65.
• Bezel and baffle: white (RAL 9010) bezel with a black baffle.

How It Works

A double black baffle sits deep inside the bezel, keeping the LED source out of direct sightlines to keep glare down, while a wide aperture behind it lets the fitting punch above its slimline bezel in terms of output. With no adjustable mechanism to align, Dino Fixed is a simpler build than its adjustable sibling, with one less moving part to specify, install and maintain over the life of the fitting.

Where It Works Best

Choose Dino Fixed for general, all purpose downlighting where the light simply needs to fall straight down, corridors, open plan living spaces, repeated grid layouts across a ceiling. It shares its 80mm bezel and 72mm cut out with Dino Adjustable but drops the tilting head, so specify Fixed where the beam direction is already decided and Adjustable where some flexibility to aim is worth keeping. Set against Dino Twin Adjustable's higher output twin head format, Dino Fixed is the more restrained, single beam option in the family, and against the Suri range's plaster in minimalism, it keeps Dino's bolder, more sculptural bezel.

That thinking underpins Orluna's 20 year spares, repair and reuse programme, under which fittings can be returned, dismantled, renewed and tested rather than sent to landfill, alongside a growing use of fire rated recycled polymers in newer products to cut down on virgin material use.
