Aim It Exactly Where You Need It
The Curve Mini Adjustable carries the same 300lm output and pocket sized aperture as its fixed sibling, but with a head that tilts to point the beam precisely where it is needed. It is a small fitting with real flexibility built into it, suited to interiors that need more than a fixed, straight down wash of light.
Choosing Your Configuration
As with the rest of the Curve Mini series, this fitting offers a genuine set of choices rather than a single fixed specification.
- Driver: available as 0-10V Dimming, Dali, Mains Dimming or Non-Dimming. Dali suits architectural dimming and scene setting, Mains Dimming works with everyday household dimmers, and Non-Dimming keeps things simple where dimming is not required. The 0-10V driver will not pass through this fitting's cut out, so it needs to be housed in the ceiling void.
- Engine: Origin (General Use) for everyday spaces, or Origin Natural (Highest Quality) where colour accuracy on finishes, artwork or skin tones matters most.
- Colour temperature: 2700K for a warmer, traditional feel, 3000K for something a little crisper and more neutral.
- Beam: six angles from 18° to 35°. Narrower angles give a tighter, more directional pool of light that suits an adjustable head aimed at a specific object; wider angles soften the effect into more of a general wash.
- IP rating: IP54 for standard interiors, IP65 where the fitting will face damp or wet conditions.
- Bezel finish: supplied in white (RAL 9010) with a black baffle, keeping the ceiling plane clean while controlling glare around the tilting head.
How It Works
The adjustable head sits within a precision engineered aluminium mechanism that allows it to tilt while keeping the LED engine properly supported and heat sinked. Aluminium draws heat away from the LED efficiently, which protects colour consistency and helps prevent premature loss of output. The recessed black baffle shields the light source from view at typical sightlines, so even when the head is angled the beam itself stays soft edged rather than glary.
Where It Works Best
The ability to tilt the head is what sets this fitting apart from the Curve Mini Fixed, and it is best used where that flexibility earns its keep: highlighting artwork or an alcove, picking out a display in a small retail unit, or adding directional accent light within a tight residential footprint where a full sized adjustable downlight would be too visually heavy. Its small 51mm bezel means this precision can be added without disrupting a clean ceiling line.
Made By Orluna
Orluna's modern story begins in 2009, when Andrew Kilborn took control of the business and repositioned it toward the high end architectural lighting market. The Quad 50 downlight range was an early success under this new direction, helping establish Orluna among international lighting designers, and it was followed by a series of compact architectural families, Curve among them, built on the same design principles.

Questions People Ask
How is this different from the Curve Mini Fixed? The Adjustable version's head can be tilted to aim the beam, while the Fixed version points straight down and cannot be angled.
Is the Curve Mini Adjustable suitable for accent lighting? Yes, the tilting head makes it well suited to highlighting artwork, alcoves or display items rather than purely flooding a space.
What dimming options are available? Dali, 0-10V and mains dimming drivers are all available, alongside a straightforward Non-Dimming option.
