Cloud Butterfly Recessed brings the full size, full specification version of Orluna's spring fixed recessed spotlight, larger than its Mini sibling and built for spaces that need a stronger beam without losing the collection's signature disappearing act.

Choosing your configuration

This full size Cloud fitting offers the broadest set of configuration choices among the smaller recessed range. Choose the driver to match the control system: Dali for scene control or building management, 0 to 10V Dimming for architectural low voltage systems, Mains Dimming for a standard dimmer, or Non-Dimming for a fixed level. Three engines are available: Origin (General Use), Origin Natural (Highest Quality) for the truest colour rendering, and Origin Warm Dim (1800K to 3000K) for a warm dimming curve reminiscent of halogen lamps. Colour temperature can be fixed at 2700K or 3000K, or run across the 1800K to 3000K range with Warm Dim. Beam angle spans a narrow 30° up to a wide 56°, allowing a choice between a focused spot or a broader wash depending on the space. IP54 is the rating offered. Bezel and baffle are available in Black or White (RAL 9010).

How It Works

Like its smaller Mini counterpart, Cloud Butterfly Recessed is held in place using spring loaded butterfly clips that grip the ceiling material from behind, avoiding the need for a deep recessed housing. At 60mm in diameter with a 62mm to 68mm cut out, it is built to a larger scale to accommodate the wider engine and beam choices on offer. A 360° rotation and 90° tilt mechanism allows the beam to be aimed after installation, and an aluminium housing manages heat from the LED engine to protect colour consistency and long term output.

Where It Works Best

Choose Butterfly Recessed over the Mini version when the wider engine choice, including Origin Warm Dim, or the broader 30° to 56° beam range this larger housing allows are needed, living spaces, hospitality interiors and retail settings that need more punch than the compact Mini fitting can give all suit it well. It offers the same forgiving butterfly clip fixing as Cloud Mini Butterfly Recessed, simply scaled up, so it remains a good option where ceiling depth is limited but a fully adjustable, recessed look is still wanted.
