Blue Earth: Natural Colour With a Triple Bulb Glow

The Seville Table Lamp in Blue Earth is a 40cm tall, 28cm wide handmade ceramic table lamp with the layered teal and ocean tones of the blue earth finish and a distinctive triple G9 bulb configuration that creates a warm, layered quality of light from within. The colour is applied by hand at Mullan Village before firing, building up differently across every individual piece. At this scale the blue earth finish has genuine room to show its depth and range of tone. In natural light the lamp reads as cool and aquatic. With the three warm G9 bulbs in the evening the deeper blues and greens within the glaze come forward and the lamp creates an atmosphere in the room that a single bulb table lamp simply cannot replicate.

How It Works

Three G9 bulbs sit within the ceramic body, creating a warm ambient glow. All three bulbs should be the same type and wattage. A matched set of warm white dimmable G9 LEDs is recommended to bring out the richer, deeper tones of the blue earth finish in the evening.

The Story Behind Mullan

Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. Ceramicist Stephen Kieran developed the blue earth finish as a translation of the blues and greens of the Irish landscape into a hand painted ceramic glaze. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass.

Can I return it?
No. Every Mullan light is made to order, so it cannot be returned unless it arrives faulty or damaged. If anything is wrong when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible.
