The Osier Ceiling Light in Matte White Striped is a 19.5cm tall, 12cm wide handmade ceramic fitting with clean graphic precision in a slender, upright profile. The matte white ground and fine hand painted stripes give it a considered quality that works equally well in contemporary minimal and more traditional interior settings. At just 12cm wide the striped ceramic has an intimate, architectural presence on the ceiling — the stripes catching in the light from below and adding texture that a plain white shade could never offer. Grouped in pairs or threes the slender Osier forms create an arrangement that is more interesting than a single larger fitting.
How It Works
The open ceramic shade faces downward, directing the E27 bulb's light into the room. The 12cm diameter concentrates the light into a relatively focused pool below. The matte white surface reflects light cleanly at the ceramic rim, brightening the ceiling area around each fitting. Compatible with dimmable E27 bulbs for full mood control.

The Story Behind Mullan
Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. The matte white striped finish reflects the bleached stone and whitewashed plaster of the historic buildings surrounding the village. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass.

It takes a standard E27 screw fit bulb, maximum 40W. Bulb not included. A warm white LED E27 suits the matte white striped finish well.
Can I group multiple Osier Ceiling Lights together?
Yes. The slender 12cm diameter makes grouping two or three particularly effective. Discuss the configuration with your electrician before installation.
Is this suitable for a bathroom?
The Osier Ceiling Light is IP20 rated and suitable for dry indoor areas only. It is not certified for bathroom wet zones.
Can I use a dimmable bulb?
