The Nagi Wall Light in Black Clay brings the deep, matte authority of the black clay ceramic finish to a wall fitting that already has more material character than most. At 26cm tall with a 19cm projection it has a confident upright presence on a wall.

How It Works

The open ceramic shade faces outward and slightly downward, directing the E27 bulb's warm light across the wall and into the room. The black clay body absorbs rather than reflects, adding depth and material weight to the wall at exactly the level where it can be properly appreciated. A warm white dimmable E27 LED suits the black clay finish well.

The Story Behind Mullan

Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. The black clay finish draws from the iron rich soils and ancient bog landscapes of that part of Ireland. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass.

What bulb does the Nagi Wall Light take?
It takes a standard E27 screw fit bulb, maximum 40W. Bulb not included. A warm white LED E27 suits the black clay finish well.

Will my wall light look exactly like the photo?
Close but not identical. The black clay finish is hand applied and fired, so surface texture and depth of tone vary naturally between pieces.

Is this suitable for a bathroom?
The Nagi Wall Light is IP20 rated and suitable for dry indoor areas only. It is not certified for bathroom wet zones.

Can I return it?
No. Every Mullan light is made to order, so it cannot be returned unless it arrives faulty or damaged. If anything is wrong when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible.
