Terracotta and White, Sun-Warmed Character on Any Wall
The Coco Wall Light in Terracotta and White is the most distinctive finish in the compact Coco range. The two-tone ceramic shade combines warm terracotta tones with a contrasting white, applied by hand at Mullan Village before firing, in a finish that references the whitewashed walls and sun-warmed terracotta materials of Mediterranean and coastal interiors. At 10cm tall and 10.5cm wide with a 19cm projection, it carries all of that warmth and character in a form that fits comfortably in rooms and spaces of any size. Every shade is painted individually and fired on site, so no two pieces carry an identical distribution of the two tones.
How It Works
The open ceramic shade faces outward and slightly downward, directing the G9 bulb's warm light across the wall surface and into the room. The terracotta and white tones catch in the light and add a warm, relaxed quality to the wall that neutral finishes cannot replicate. A warm white G9 LED brings out the terracotta tones most richly and is strongly recommended with this finish. Compatible with dimmable G9 bulbs for full mood control.
Where It Works Best
The Terracotta and White Coco is a natural in bedrooms, living rooms and hallways with a relaxed, warm or Mediterranean-influenced aesthetic. It pairs particularly well with limewash plaster walls, natural rattan, warm timber, woven textiles and antique brass or warm metal hardware. Used as a pair either side of a bed or doorway it creates a sun-warmed, characterful arrangement that adds real personality to the wall.
The Story Behind Mullan
Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. The terracotta and white finish reflects Mullan's ongoing exploration of natural colour beyond its core ceramic range, inspired by the warm material palette of southern European and coastal interiors. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass.

FAQs
What bulb does the Coco Wall Light take?
It takes a G9 capsule bulb, maximum 6.5W. Bulb not included. A warm white LED G9 works best with the terracotta and white finish, bringing out the warmth of the terracotta tones in the evening light.
Will my wall light look exactly like the photo?
Close but not identical. The two-tone finish is hand applied so the distribution and intensity of the terracotta and white tones will vary naturally between pieces. The overall character will be consistent but yours will be unique.
Is this suitable for a bathroom?
The Coco Wall Light is IP20 rated and suitable for dry indoor areas only. It is not certified for bathroom wet zones. Please contact us if you need a bathroom rated wall light and we will advise.
Can I use a dimmable bulb?
Yes. Compatible with dimmable G9 LED bulbs. Ensure your dimmer switch is rated for LED use. Bulb not included.
Can I return it?
No. Every Mullan light is made to order, so it cannot be returned unless it arrives faulty or damaged. If anything is wrong when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible.
