Mitzi Denise 1 Light Wall Sconce Light - Polished Nickel & Black

Deco lines, given a graphic twist

Denise takes a slim, sculptural arm and tops it with a soft fabric shade, its stepped detailing borrowing from Art Deco design without tipping into pastiche. In this finish the fixture leans distinctly graphic, pairing a bright metal frame with a black stem that reads almost like a pencil line drawn straight up the wall.

Polished Nickel and Black finish

This version is a genuine two tone finish, a polished nickel frame that catches the light with a cool, reflective shine, set against a black stem and fittings for sharp definition. It is a bolder pairing than a single tone finish tends to give, and it suits contemporary or monochrome interiors particularly well.

How it works

Denise runs on a single E14 candelabra bulb up to 40W (bulb not included), sitting beneath a white linen shade that measures 12cm across the top and bottom and 16cm tall. The fixture reaches 52cm in height, extends 13cm out from the wall, and has a rectangular backplate of around 10cm by 13cm, keeping its overall footprint slim.

Where it works best

The strong contrast of this finish suits spaces where the fitting itself can do some of the talking, along a run of hallway wall, either side of a bedroom mirror, or as a pair flanking artwork. Its narrow build also means it can go into tighter spots, such as landings or stairwells, where a table lamp simply will not fit.
