Two Independent Spotlights on One Slim Bar
Sal Linear takes the simple idea of a spotlight bar and keeps it deliberately understated, with two short cylindrical heads mounted on a slim rectangular plate rather than a bulkier track fitting. Each head rotates on its own, so the two spots can point in completely different directions from a single ceiling fixing.
Choosing This Finish
This listing is the matt white version, which sits quietly against a white ceiling and lets whatever the spotlights are aimed at do the visual work. The same Sal Linear shape is also made in matt black and satin gold as separate listings, so if you want the fitting itself to stand out rather than disappear, one of those alternatives will suit a bolder scheme better.
How It Works
Each of the two heads takes a GU10 bulb rated up to 10W, with bulbs not included so you can choose your own beam angle and colour temperature. The heads rotate independently on the mounting plate, which measures 25cm across, letting you angle each spot toward a worktop, a piece of artwork or a different part of the room. The fitting is rated IP20, so it is intended for dry indoor rooms.
Where It Works Best
Because the two heads move independently, Sal Linear works well over kitchen worktops and islands where you want light angled down onto a work surface, or in a dining room where one spot can highlight a table and the other a sideboard or artwork. It also suits home offices, where a spot can be aimed at a desk while the second lights a shelf or noticeboard.
Made By Mantra
Mantra has been designing lighting from its base in Valencia since 2000, and its current range spans decorative pieces like Sal Linear through to more technical and outdoor fittings. The company's product development is driven by an internal design team, and its ongoing investment in newer collections was recognised in 2024 when the Nacho Timon designed MONKEY collection won Gold at the regional ADCV design awards. That kind of external recognition, alongside more than 25 years of continuous trading, sits behind even the simpler, more functional fittings like this one.
