Chevalier is a solar bollard, so no cable run is needed to bring light to a path, border or driveway edge. A square panel across its top captures daylight through the day and releases it as a soft wash of light down each face of the column once the sun goes down.

How It Works

The solar panel set into the top of the bollard charges through the day and powers a 2.2W integrated LED, producing a 3000K warm white light at 188 lumens after dark. A rocker switch sits beneath the panel's edge, tucked away from the weather, so the fitting can be turned off entirely when not needed to preserve charge. Because it runs on a Class III extra low voltage solar circuit rather than the mains, there is no cable to bury and no connection to a household circuit.

Where It Works Best

Chevalier is suited to borders, path edges and driveway markers that get reasonable daylight, since the panel needs direct sun to charge properly, rather than deep shade under trees or close overhangs. Its lower 188 lumen output makes it a marker and guide light rather than a main path light, so it tends to work best used in a run of several bollards spaced along a route rather than as a single, isolated fitting.
