A Weighted Stainless Steel Pond Light With a 12V Integral Driver
The LuxR Modux 2 Pond Light has a weighted base, so it sits where you place it in the water. It is submersible to 9m and comes with a 12V integral driver and 3m of cable. Stainless steel keeps a cool, clean look that stays neutral against water and stone.
Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel
This version is precision machined from marine grade 316 stainless steel, which keeps a clean, cool, silvery finish and is chosen for outdoor use. The light source is a 2 watt Cree LED with a CRI of 90 plus.
Choose Your Options
- Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
- Beam: 26º is the narrowest, 36º is a medium beam and 74º is the widest, for more spread.
- Lens: clear gives the sharpest beam, while frosted softens the edges of the light.
How It Works
The 12V integral driver is built into the fitting, so you do not need a separate constant current driver. It must be installed in parallel with a remote transformer, which is sold separately. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable transformer. The Cree LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
This is a good choice for ponds, water features and shallow pools where the fitting can sit under the surface and light plants, rocks or a fountain. The steel will keep its crisp look beside the water. It is also available in the M1 and the larger M4.
