A light you can walk straight over

The Soldial is a recessed solar marker light built to sit flush with the ground rather than stand up from it, with a stainless steel bezel and die cast aluminium body designed to take foot and light vehicle traffic without damage.

Choosing your light colour

Soldial is offered in daylight white at 6000K or warm white at 3000K. Daylight white gives a crisp, clearly visible marker point, useful for driveways or steps where clarity matters most, while warm white gives a softer glow that blends more naturally into a garden path.

How it works

Twelve small Epistar LED chips built into the fitting produce up to 210 lumens from 3W, activating with a gentle fade in at dusk and fading out again at dawn. Power comes from a 6V 0.6W polycrystalline solar panel that charges in as little as 6 hours, storing energy in a replaceable 3.7V 2AH 18650 lithium iron phosphate battery, which can hold enough charge for up to 2 nights of use. Rated IP67 and IK08, it is sealed against water ingress and built to resist impact, so it is safe to walk over.

Where it works best

Because it sits flush with the ground, the Soldial suits driveways, pathways and decking where a raised fitting would be a trip hazard or get caught by mowers and vehicles. It works well as a marker light along the edge of a drive or steps rather than as a general area light.

Can I really walk or drive over it?
Yes, it is rated IP67 and IK08, which covers both water resistance and impact resistance, so it is designed to be walked over.

Does the battery need replacing eventually?
The 18650 lithium iron phosphate battery is replaceable, so you are not left with a dead fitting once the original battery wears out.

How long does it take to charge?
As little as 6 hours in good sunlight, giving up to 2 nights of use on a full charge.
