For anyone who wants the Olympia's soft, frosted glow without a post to sink into the ground, this wall mounted version fixes straight onto brickwork or render on its own bracket, making it suited to entrances, boundary walls and gateposts where a wall is more practical than open ground.

Choosing your finish

As with the pedestal version, the only real choice is colour temperature: a warmer 3000K or a cleaner 6000K daylight white. The fitting itself comes only in black die cast aluminium with the same frosted, striped diffuser.

How it works

The same integrated Epistar LED chips sit behind a frosted polycarbonate diffuser shaped to throw light outward and down rather than towards the eye. A light sensor brings the fitting on automatically at dusk, then steps the brightness down in stages through the night, full output for the first hour, 80% for two hours, 50% for a further two, then 30% for the remaining nine hours, so a single day's charge lasts until morning. A 5.5W monocrystalline solar panel charges a replaceable 6.4V 5AH LiFePO4 battery, good for up to 23 hours of runtime when fully charged.

Where it works best

Anywhere a wall, pillar or gatepost is available rather than open ground, entrance walls, boundary piers and porch surrounds are all natural fits, giving the same soft downward wash as the pedestal Olympia without needing a spike or base plate.

Does this version need a post or base plate?
No, it fixes directly to a wall, pillar or gatepost using its own mounting bracket, there is no separate post or ground fixing to install.

Will it get enough sunlight mounted on a wall?
The solar panel is built into the top of the fitting itself, so as long as it has reasonable daylight exposure where it is mounted, it will charge in the same way as the pedestal version.

Is the light output the same as the pedestal Olympia?
Yes, both versions share the same LED chips, diffuser and battery, the only difference is how each one is fixed in place.
