Anodised aluminium suits most gardens, but for sites facing salt spray, exposed coastlines or heavy weather, this version steps up to 316 marine grade stainless steel, the same specification used in boat fittings, for a fixture built to outlast the elements.

Choosing the Right Bulb

This fitting takes a standard GU10 lamp, which is not supplied, so you choose the wattage, beam angle and colour temperature to suit the feature you are lighting. Anything up to 20W is supported, giving plenty of scope from a subtle wash to a stronger spotlight.

How It Works

The GU10 holder sits inside a polished 316 stainless steel housing with a glass lens, adjustable through around 180 degrees on its U shaped bracket. Power comes directly from the mains with no separate driver required, and the fitting is wired in parallel so several units can share a circuit. A 1.4m to 1.5m cable gives more reach than the standard AlvaLED spike lights, useful when a fixture needs to sit further from its junction point.

Choose this over the anodised aluminium AlvaLED spike lights wherever the fitting will face genuinely harsh conditions, coastal gardens, poolside planting or anywhere metal fittings are prone to corrosion. It can be pushed into soil with the supplied ground spike, surface mounted with the U bracket, or raised on an optional 40cm pole with a four fin ground spike for taller planting or more exposed spots. A 12V Plug and Play MR16 version is also available for low voltage garden lighting systems.
