Three Twisted Glass Capsules on Fixed Rods
The Charlton Flush Cluster 3 Way Rod brings together three elongated, capsule shaped glass shades, each hand blown with a spiral twist running around the glass. Every shade is held on a slim, finished metal rod, so the group sits close to the ceiling and reads as one sculptural feature rather than three separate lights. It is a large multi pendant fitting that is made to your specification, and its overall size depends on the layout and rod lengths you choose, so please read the details below before you request a quote.
Made to Your Specification
This is a made to order cluster, not an off the shelf light, which is why the finish is agreed with our team rather than picked on this page. Leverint states that its clusters are made with hand blown glass and finished metalwork, and the exact glass, metal finish and LED bulb choices are agreed with our team when you request a quote. The photos show clear twisted glass on brass coloured rods as a starting point. We confirm the final price in your quote. To begin, contact our team. As the glass is blown by hand and the metal finished by hand, the colour and texture of your cluster may vary slightly from the photos, and screens show colour differently from one device to another. If you are unsure about a finish before ordering, please call our customer service team.
How It Works
The cluster is a hardwired ceiling fitting with three lights, and each light takes an E27 bulb. Bulbs are not included. Leverint lists the maximum wattage as 8W LED on its product page, and lists the fitting as mains dimmable, so it can be used with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs. Leverint also states that IP44 bathroom and E26 versions are available, which you can ask about when you request a quote. As a hardwired ceiling fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, ideally one who is NICEIC registered. Because a cluster carries three glass shades from one ceiling position, your electrician can also check that the ceiling is suitable once the final specification is agreed.
Where It Works Best
The tall, narrow shape of the capsules suits spaces with a little height to play with, such as an entrance hall, a stairwell landing or a dining room. The twisted glass catches the light along its spiral, so the cluster looks interesting both lit and unlit, and works well against a plain ceiling where nothing competes with it.
Made By Leverint
Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where each piece of glass is shaped by hand rather than cast in a mould. The studio says it draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company, G Farley and Sons, and its founders bring decades of lighting design and glass artistry to every piece.
