The Bexley V1 Large Flush Fitting pairs a broad, shallow dome of hand blown glass with a compact plated metal fitting at its centre. Fine ribbed lines run out from the centre to the rim, catching the light and giving off a soft, textured glow rather than one bright point of light. Because it sits close and flush to the surface it is fixed to, it works well anywhere a hanging pendant would sit too low.

This product ships in your choice of hand blown glass and plated metal finish, chosen when you order. These photos show it in the glass and metal finish pictured, but Leverint blows the same shade in ribbed, fine ribbed, transparent black and opaque white glass, plus ribbed twist and fine ribbed twist for a small upgrade, and plates it in polished brass, brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze, polished nickel or satin nickel, so you can match it to the rest of your scheme.

How It Works

It takes a single E27 bulb, up to 40W, which is not supplied with the fitting. It is mains dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and bulb. The dome measures 280mm across and projects 163mm out from its fixing point on a 67mm mounting plate, and it fixes flush to the wall or ceiling rather than hanging as a pendant. We recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Its flush profile makes it a natural fit for hallways and landings where ceiling height is tight, and it works just as well as a softer accent in a living room or bedroom, over a dining table, or as general lighting in a kitchen.

Made By Leverint

Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where its glassblowers shape every shade by hand rather than casting it from a mould. The studio says it draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company, G Farley and Sons, and its founders, Andrew Print, John Leveridge and Lee Rowland, bring decades of combined lighting design and glass artistry experience to each piece it makes.
