A Rod Pendant Designed to Order
The Bespoke Rod Pendant is Leverint's made to specification take on the rod hung glass pendant. Leverint describes rod pendants as a highly decorative touch that suits luxurious and modern interiors, and says the option is especially favourable in dining rooms and kitchens. In the photo, two clear ribbed glass shades hang from a slim dark metal rod above a kitchen island with a marble worktop. Because it is bespoke, its overall size and layout depend on the design agreed with the Leverint team, and the Moonlight team will help you settle that when you request a quote.
Made to Your Specification
This is a made to order service rather than a standard size, so the design is agreed with our team instead of picked on this page. Leverint lists hand blown glass, finished metalwork and silk round flex as the materials, and the rod, glass shades, layout and LED bulbs are agreed with the Moonlight team when you request a quote. Your final price for this design is confirmed in your quote. Please contact our team to begin, and tell us about the room and the ceiling height. The photo is an installation that illustrates the idea, and because the glass is hand blown and the pieces are hand crafted, the colour and texture of your pendant may vary slightly from the photo. Screens also show colour differently from one device to another, so please call our customer service team if you are unsure about anything before ordering.
How It Works
The glass shades are carried on a rod, and the rod, drop and layout are planned individually with the Leverint team. Leverint lists E27 lamps at 220 to 240V, with bulbs not included and a maximum of 8W LED, along with mains dimming, so a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable LED bulbs will let you lower the light. Its page also lists IP44 bathroom and E26 US versions, so ask the team if you need one when you request your quote. Leverint states that all electrical components are UKCA and CE certified. As a hardwired ceiling fitting, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, ideally one who is NICEIC registered.
Where It Works Best
Leverint points to dining rooms and kitchens, and the photo shows exactly that, with ribbed glass shades hanging over a kitchen island. Leverint says the rod design shows off hand blown glass in a secure way while drawing attention to wherever it is placed, so it suits a spot where you want the pendants to be a deliberate feature, such as the space above a dining table or an island.
Made By Leverint
Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London. The studio says it draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company, G Farley and Sons.
