Kichler Venetian Rain Single Small Half Wall Lantern - Brushed Bronze

An Ornate Outdoor Wall Lantern That Sits Slim to the Wall

The Kichler Venetian Rain small half wall lantern is a decorative outdoor wall light with plenty of detail in a compact size. Beaded mouldings run around the top of the frame, a little finial crowns it, and rippled glass panels sit below. It takes its inspiration from Renaissance lanterns, so it looks right on traditional brick, stone and rendered walls.

Brushed Bronze Finish

The metalwork is a brushed bronze with a mottled, slightly aged surface, so the raised beads and curves pick up highlights and shadow. The glass has a rain effect, a rippled pattern that looks like water running down a window. Together they give a warm, antique look in daylight, and the lit bulb glows softly behind the ripples after dark.

How It Works

• One E14 lamp holder, suited to an LED bulb (bulb not supplied)
• Dimmable if you fit a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer
• Metal frame with rain glass panels
• Rated IP44, so it is protected against splashing water for outdoor use
• Class I electrical fitting, which needs an earth connection

Where It Works Best

The slim 9.5cm projection makes this a good choice for narrow porches, side doors, garden gates and any wall where a deeper lantern would stick out too far. Fit one beside a front door, or a pair either side of a garage or double doors for a balanced look.

Questions People Ask

How far does this lantern stick out from the wall?
Only 9.5cm. It is 29.8cm tall and 17.1cm wide, which makes it one of the more compact lanterns in the Venetian Rain range.

Can I use it in an exposed spot?
It is rated IP44, which covers splashing water, so it suits a porch, doorway or wall with some shelter. Under an overhang is the best place if it is likely to get driving rain.

Does it work with a dimmer?
Yes, as long as you fit a dimmable E14 LED bulb and use a compatible dimmer. Choose a warm white bulb to match the bronze finish.

Is there a bigger version of this lantern?
Yes. The Venetian Rain design is made in larger wall lanterns with two and three lights, plus chain and flush fittings, all with the same brushed bronze and rain glass styling.
