Kichler Venetian Rain 2 Light Chain Lantern - Brushed Bronze

A Hanging Outdoor Lantern With a Renaissance Feel

The Kichler Venetian Rain 2 light chain lantern is an outdoor pendant that hangs on a chain from a porch roof, pergola or covered entrance. The tapered glass body narrows to a fluted finial at the bottom, and beaded mouldings and a small spire finish the top. It is a dressy piece that gives a covered seating area or doorway some real presence.

Brushed Bronze Finish

The frame is brushed bronze with a speckled, softly worn look, a warm tone that suits stone, brick and timber. The glass panels have a rippled rain effect, so the two candle style lamps inside glow gently without a bare bulb showing through. After dark the whole lantern warms up and the ripples catch the light.

How It Works

• Two E14 lamp holders, suited to candle style LED bulbs (bulbs not supplied)
• Dimmable when you use dimmable LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer
• Hangs from a chain, with a maximum overall drop of 190cm
• Metal frame with rain glass panels
• Rated IP23, so it is for covered outdoor spots rather than open, exposed ones
• Class I electrical fitting, which needs an earth connection

Where It Works Best

Hang it under a porch roof, in a covered walkway or above a sheltered patio table. It also works well in a high entrance where the chain can drop to a comfortable height. A pair, one either side of a door, makes a formal arrival.

Made By Kichler

Kichler has been making lighting since 1938, when Leonard Kichler set up the company in Cleveland, Ohio. It now operates from Solon, Ohio. The Venetian Rain lanterns come from that long outdoor lighting tradition and carry a lot of fine detail for their size.

Questions People Ask

How long can it hang?
The maximum overall drop is 190cm, and the lantern body itself is 62.9cm tall. Your electrician can set the hanging height to suit your ceiling and the spot you want to light.

Can it hang in an open garden?
No. It is rated IP23, which is meant for covered areas such as porches, carports and pergolas with a roof. Keep it out of direct rain.

How many bulbs does it need?
Two E14 bulbs. Candle style LED bulbs suit the shape of the glass, and dimmable ones let you lower the glow for evenings outside.

Can I match it with wall lanterns?
Yes. Venetian Rain also comes as small, medium and large wall lanterns and a flush fitting in the same brushed bronze, so you can build a matching set around one entrance.
