A Geometric Rose, Close to the Ceiling

Ingram trades the softer curves of Hutchinson for a more geometric take on the same Mackintosh rose motif, set here into a semi flush fitting that keeps the fixture close to the ceiling. Three lampholders sit behind the stylised Art Deco glasswork, giving a fuller spread of light than a single bulb equivalent.

Choosing Your Ingram

Within the Ingram range this semi flush shares its 45cm shade with the Large 2 Light Flush Fitting and the Large Inverted and Large Pendant versions, but sits on a short stem rather than flat against the ceiling or hanging on a long chain. Choose this semi flush where a room needs a little more presence than a flush fitting but does not have the height for a hanging pendant.

How It Works

Three E27 lampholders take a 10W LED lamp as the recommended source, not supplied, projecting 18cm from the ceiling. The fitting is dimmable when used with a suitable dimmable lamp and compatible dimmer switch.

Where It Works Best

Its short 18cm projection and three lamp spread of light suit hallways, landings and bedrooms where a fuller glow is wanted without a fitting that hangs down into the room. Compared with the Large Pendant in this range, it sacrifices the adjustable drop for a neater, close fitting profile.

Interiors 1900 began making handmade Tiffany style lamps in 1983, and while the business has since grown to include solid brass and crystal lighting, ranges like Ingram still rely on the same hand assembled glass technique the brand started with. Each panel is cut and coloured individually before being leaded into the finished geometric pattern, so a little variation from one shade to the next is simply part of the handmade process.
