Why Beige

This is the softest read of the Dragonfly design, built around ivory, honey and muted amber glass rather than the cooler blues and greens found elsewhere in the range. It suits rooms built around warm neutrals, natural wood and worn leather, where a jewel toned shade would fight the palette rather than complete it. Choose it where you want the glasswork to feel calm rather than dramatic.

How It Works

The lamp stands 1560mm tall with a 500mm diameter shade, and takes 2 x 60W E27 (ES) lamps, not included. It is dimmable when fitted with a suitable dimmable LED lamp and a compatible dimmer, and is operated by a simple pull cord at the lampholder.

Where It Works Best

As the only floor standing piece in the Dragonfly Beige family, this lamp earns its keep where a table lamp cannot, beside an armchair, at the end of a sofa, or filling a dark corner that has no surface to spare. Living rooms and snugs with traditional or transitional furniture suit it particularly well.

Interiors 1900 built its name on lamps like this one. The British brand started out in 1983 making handmade Tiffany style lighting, and that original skill, cutting and leading individual pieces of coloured glass, still sits at the heart of everything it produces. Interiors 1900 describes each shade as having its own character, since no two panels of hand mixed molten glass come out quite the same. Over four decades the brand has grown to cover solid brass and crystal lighting too, but the Dragonfly range is a direct descendant of the Tiffany work that started it all.
