How It Works

A single E14 lamp holder sits beneath the 16cm shade, rated up to 40W. This lamp is not dimmable, so the lamp fitted determines the brightness directly, worth factoring in if you want a gentle bedside glow rather than a bright reading light.

Interiors 1900 has been handcrafting lighting since 1983, and this small lamp is built using the same techniques as the rest of the Botanica range, glass mixed by hand while molten, then cut, bevelled and leaded into the finished shade. Because of that process, colour and texture vary subtly from one lamp to the next, a genuine sign of handmade glass rather than something to see as inconsistent. The brand has since grown into solid brass and crystal lighting, but small pieces like this remain close to its original Tiffany style craft.
